Role of community led monitoring (CLM) as a quality assurance tool for improving coordination of HIV viral load monitoring services under the TASCQ program in Southern Zimbabwe

I have dedicated over a decade to community work focused on participatory monitoring including HIV services, emphasizing advocacy and community-
led monitoring. My journey began with grassroots initiatives aimed at raising awareness about HIV prevention and treatment options. I played a key role in organizing outreach programs that reached marginalized populations, ensuring they had access to essential health resources. 


I am currently leading Strategic Information and Evaluation activities at the Zimbabwe National Network of People Living with HIV, a national coordinating body for 1.2 million PLHIV in Zimbabwe spearheading more than 5 projects with more than 1000 + community cadres implementing community-led monitoring of HIV services. This initiative empowers community members to collect and analyze data on service delivery, which directly informs local health policies and improved access to care. Our efforts led to a 30% increase in cervical testing rates among women living with HIV rates and enhanced treatment adherence among participants through the community systems strengthening initiatives to improve viral load coverage in districts of operation through collaborations with various stakeholders. 
I am passionate about fostering inclusive environments where all community members can advocate for their health needs. Through education, capacity building, collaboration, and leveraging on digital solutions, I strive to create a lasting impact in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
