Developments in eliciting broadly neutralizing antibody vaccination

This session will provide a broad overview of the current status of the HIV vaccine design and development field. The speakers will outline the concept of germline priming and lineage-based design; provide an overview of recent successes in these areas; and outline future approaches and technologies being used to improve the pace of discovery. Exploration of infant vaccine development will also be reviewed, as well as ongoing evaluations of the evolution of HIV-1’s neutralization sensitivity on a population basis in areas of the world where it is highly prevalent.
