Invest in our future: How to walk the talk of ethical youth engagement in the HIV response

Irene Ogeta, a Community Developer, gender advocate, and HIV Expert, has over 10 years of experience working extensively on women, adolescent girls, young women, key populations, and youth-related programs and projects. She has supported the implementation and provided oversight to programs locally, regionally, and globally by engaging other advocates, funders, and consultants across issues of meaningful Youth engagement, gender equality, HIV prevention and ending HIV-related stigma, women’s rights, girl child education, child protection, advocating on ending child marriages, and sexual reproductive health and rights for women and girls in all their diversities to help strengthen relationships between young women-led grass-root, regional and global organizations with the same goal and young women’s leadership. She is passionate about investments in interventions to accelerate actions to prevent HIV and gender-related inequalities among youth, key populations, adolescent girls, and young women. She is committed to community youth and young women-led initiatives, interventions, advocacy, and capacity development for the AGYW.
