Teri Roberts, BSc, MNutr, PhD, is a senior biomedical scientist, specializing in infectious diseases, immunology and issues concerning resource-limited settings. She currently works in the innovation and new technologies team at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. In more than 10 years of working on global health, based in Geneva, she worked as a scientist for the International AIDS Society, MSF Access Campaign and FIND Diagnostics. Before that, she worked in academia in South Africa, doing research on tuberculosis. Her work experience spans multiple infectious diseases, including HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis B and C, febrile illnesses and antimicrobial resistance. She also focused on transversal issues, such as access to essential diagnostics, market dynamics, integration across diseases, regulatory and quality issues, R&D and business models (not meeting public health needs), financing models for ex-works and in-country price reduction, and the introduction, scale up and sustainable programmatic implementation of current and new tools.
