Marlène Bras has more than 14 years of experience in public health, research and management in the HIV field. She was trained at the Pasteur Institute (France) and holds a PhD in cellular biology from the Pierre and Marie Curie University (Paris VI, France). She was appointed as Director, HIV Programmes and Advocacy in September 2022 and is also the Executive Editor of the Journal of the International AIDS Society (JIAS). A basic scientist by training, Marlène has worked across HIV disciplines from basic and clinical sciences to behavioural, epidemiology and implementation sciences.

Mercy Luwi Katoka, is a Program Officer and youth advocate at FHI 360 in Zambia. She serves as a NextGen Squad (NGS) member under the MOSAIC project, focusing on expanding HIV prevention options for adolescent girls and young women (AGYW). Luwi has co-authored publications on AGYW's PrEP preferences and contributed to the development of Zambia's National Pre- and Post-exposure Prophylaxis Guidelines. She also contributes to FHI 360’s organizational efforts to strengthen youth-focused programs to better serve and support young people.
