Person-centred care stakeholder consultations - What are the service delivery considerations for person-centred care for people living with HIV?

Dr. Alan Landay is Professor and Vice Chair of the Research Department of Internal Medicine Division of Geriatrics at Rush Medical College. He has been involved in HIV research for over 40 years. Over the past 10 years, his research focus has been on studies of the human microbiome and metabolome and better understanding its role both in health and disease. He has extensive experience in ageing-related studies and is passionate about person-centred care, especially for people growing older with HIV.

Davina is a senior technical advisor for HIV and viral hepatitis with PATH and has more than 13 years of experience providing technical, management, and operational support to implement high-quality and efficient HIV and organizational capacity building projects across 18 countries in Africa and Asia.

Jules Levin is the most tenacious AIDS activist one could ever hope to meet. He is the Executive Director of the National AIDS Treatment Advocacy Project based in New York City which he also founded in 1996. NATAP provides conference coverage, information, education and advocacy globally on HIV, HCV, HBV and related metabolics including ageing with HIV.

Yvette is co-founder of the new Advocacy for Prevention of HIV and AIDS in South Africa and a leader in the country’s HIV prevention movement for young women, Yvette is one of South Africa’s most influential civic leaders and human rights activists. She has spent the past two decades advocating for prevention education and better treatment and access to healthcare for people living with HIV, specifically young women, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and intersex communities.

Dr Helen Bygrave trained as a doctor in the UK and continues to work as a GP in East London. An experienced global health professional, Helen works as the NCD Advisor for the Médécins Sans Frontières Access Campaign and has since 2005 been providing technical support for MSF’s HIV/TB projects across Africa and Asia. Outside MSF she provides technical assistance to national ART programmes worldwide and has been a driving force behind the implementation of differentiated service delivery approaches, providing technical support to the IAS Differentiated Service Delivery programme.

Kombatende currently works in the Research department, Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia. Kombatende does research in Infectious Diseases, Primary Care and Public Health. Their current project is Leveraging Person Centered Public Health to Improve HIV outcomes in Zambia. Kombatende previously led the 'Better Information for Health in Zambia' project. Current interests include Adolescent HIV.

An is the Deputy Director for Communications and External Affairs at Glink in Vietnam. An has over 10 years of experience in outreach, healthcare package development, and demand-driven communication for PLHIV and target populations at high risk of HIV infection. At the end of 2021, An Nguyen – with his Glink colleagues, founded Glink Academy - a model for incubating business ideas and improving business capacity for private businesses in the field of HIV. He actively participated in the development of training programs, mentoring, and coaching for new startups from the target population community.
